What is attending Georgia Tech like?
The Georgia Institute of Technology, aka “Georgia Tech,” is located in bustling Atlanta, Georgia, and offers an engaging technical curriculum for aspiring engineers, physicists, architects, scientists, economists, and more.
Georgia Tech’s undergraduate colleges include the College of Computing, College of Design, College of Engineering, College of Sciences, College of Liberal Arts, and College of Business. It’s most famous for its STEM majors and is known for its challenging, top-tier programs.

Georgia Tech has a competitive admissions process, with just 13.8% of applicants receiving an admissions offer last year. If you’d like to apply, you can choose from the Early Action or Regular Decision deadlines.
Note that the first round of Early Action is only for Georgia students. If you live in Georgia, you’ll also have a higher chance of getting in — the acceptance rate for Georgia students is 33%, and just 10% for out of state applicants.

*What does this mean? The middle 50% score range refers to students from the 25th to the 75th percentile of admitted students. So if 100 students were admitted and we ranked their SAT scores from lowest to highest, we’d be looking at 50 students’ stats (from student 25 through student 75).
